Job summary

Salted is hiring a Lead Line Cook in Lawndale, CA. You will lead line cooking, ensure quality and sanitation, and collaborate with a virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

This role requires leadership experience, a solid two years in kitchen work, and the ability to stand for long periods while handling up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position offering growth opportunities and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in culinary skills (knife/prep, flat-top, etc).
• Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items following Salted standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Front of House team to deliver great dining experiences.
• Own opening, closing and shift hand-off processes.
• Assist in training and development of staff.
• Resolve minor conflicts to ensure smooth team dynamics.

Lead Line Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to perfection, accurately following our Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Take ownership of the opening, closing, and shift hand-off process.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members.
• Facilitate smooth team dynamics by addressing and resolving minor conflicts among staff, fostering a harmonious work atmosphere.

Lead Line Cook Requirements

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
