Job summary

Salted is hiring a Lead Line Cook in Union City, NJ. You will prepare and cook items to our standards, ensure sanitation and safety, and work with the Front of House team to provide exceptional dining experiences. You will lead shifts, help train staff, and support a cohesive, high-performing kitchen.

The role requiresSolid culinary skills, at least 2 years of kitchen experience and 1 year of leadership. Schedule includes AM/PM/Weekend shifts, and the position offers competitive hourly pay with

• Solid foundation in culinary skills including knife/prep work and flat-top cooking.
• Proven leadership experience in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Front of House team to deliver great dining experiences.
• Own opening, closing and shift hand-off processes.
• Assist in training and developing staff.
• Foster smooth team dynamics and resolve minor conflicts.

Lead Line Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to perfection, accurately following our Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Take ownership of the opening, closing, and shift hand-off process.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members.
• Facilitate smooth team dynamics by addressing and resolving minor conflicts among staff, fostering a harmonious work atmosphere.

Lead Line Cook Requirements

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
