Job summary

Salted in Union City, NJ is seeking a Lead Line Cook to uphold our high culinary standards, manage kitchen operations, and support a dynamic Front of House team. This role demands hands-on cooking skills and leadership to guide shifts.

You will train staff, ensure sanitation, and help coordinate opening and closing tasks. With 2+ years in a kitchen and 1+ year leading, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-first environment that values quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work and flat-top cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to Salted standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Front of House team to ensure great dining experiences.
• Own opening, closing, and shift hand-off processes.
• Assist in training and developing staff.
• Resolve minor staff conflicts to maintain a harmonious team.

Lead Line Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to perfection, accurately following our Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Take ownership of the opening, closing, and shift hand-off process.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members.
• Facilitate smooth team dynamics by addressing and resolving minor conflicts among staff, fostering a harmonious work atmosphere.

Lead Line Cook Requirements

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
