Job summary

Giants Ridge is seeking a Lead Lift Operator to oversee daily lift operations year-round, train staff, and ensure guest safety and excellent service. You’ll work closely with the Mountain Manager and Director of Mountain Operations to lead by example during winter lift operations and summer bike-season activities.

The role requires outdoor work in variable weather, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of lift operations experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lift Operators in completing tasks as directed by Mountain Manager and leaders.
• Provide daily on-the-job training to new and returning lift operators.
• Train and instruct staff on opening, on-shift and closing policies.
• Instruct and assist with maintenance of lift loading/unloading areas and mazes.
• Monitor guests' use of lifts and manage ticket checks.
