Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician III to support Inside Plant cabling and related infrastructure for a federal government client. The role is on-site with a 4x12 hour work schedule and requires extensive travel, primarily to Hawaii.

Preferred candidates live near Lexington Park, MD, but others may be considered. The position requires 6+ years of ISP/OSP cabling experience, ability to interpret engineering packages, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ ISP/OSP cabling experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering packages.
• Experience in inside/outside cable plant environments.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead for a team of three Telecommunications Technician I and II personnel, offering direction and hands-on support.
• Interpret engineering packages and support job site coordination for materials, tools, and work crews.
• Interface with the end customer, attend project meetings, and submit daily/weekly status reports.
• Work within ISP installation crews to perform infrastructure installation, demolition, and updating.
• Assist with pre-installation testing of materials.
• Maintain responsibility for safety and quality of work.
