The MIL Corporation is seeking a Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician II to support Inside Plant cabling and related infrastructure for a Federal Government project at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Ideal candidates reside near Lexington Park, MD, but others will be considered and will travel extensively. Role involves on-site schedule of 4 twelve-hour days weekly, coordinating with ISP teams, reviewing engineering packages, and ensuring safety and quality on site; travel to Hawaii is required

Formación

• 3–5 years’ experience working ISP and/or OSP cabling
• Demonstrable understanding of TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEEE, or related standards as they apply to OSI Layer 1 infrastructure
• Ability to interpret engineering packages
• Experience working in inside and outside cable plant environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organization skills

Responsabilidades

• Interpret engineering packages and support job site coordination support for materials, tools, and work crews
• Interface with the end customer, attend project meetings, submitting daily or weekly status reports as applicable
• Work within ISP installation crews to perform infrastructure installation, demolition, and updating
• Assist with pre-installation testing of materials
• Perform efforts within confined spaces as necessary
• Maintain responsibility for quality of effort and safety of personnel
• Maintain proficiency working with copper
