Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee all aspects of injection stretch blow mold sampling and qualification for new and existing products. You will collaborate with plant technical roles to support startups, protocol validation, and tooling improvements to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes DOE studies, data-driven optimization, and training across operations. The candidate will possess a mechanical or electrical engineering background with at least five years in plastics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with internal/external customers.
• Experience managing resources and coordinating with multiple teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of five years' processing experience in plastics packaging is desired.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings and qualification services for new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional and cycle-time targets.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Lead design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in machine processing and tool design changes.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues related to machines, processes, tooling or design.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tool qualifications.
