Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to manage injection/stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt molds. You will partner with plant technical roles to support startups, validate processes, and drive improvements across tooling and processes.

The role centers on process optimization, DOE studies, and documenting best practices while coordinating with environmental and quality teams. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of (5) five years' processing experience in plastics packaging desired.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at design cycle time or less.
• Create and maintain standardized Master Process Sheets for defined injection or blow molding process.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas as directed by management.
• Provide Manufacturing Support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling/design.
• Support plants with equipment, process and tooling qualifications/validations as needed.
• Perform and establish tool/equipment qualification at vendor locations.
• Establish and maintain data resources related to packaging, machinery and processes.
• Facilitate, document and share best practices across facilities.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and R&D process capability studies to ensure standards compliance.
• Create Master Process of Adjustments for baseline settings.
• Develop organizational technical capabilities via training and mentorship.
• Maintain a current database of customer tooling and process conditions.
• Create and maintain training programs in machine operation, process control and maintenance.
• Lead with quality teams to improve processes and product development.
• Recommend tooling/equipment upgrades or replacements based on data.
• Participate with Plant Operations to reduce scrap and improve line efficiency.
• Maintain division level technical specs and documentation for Operations Engineering.
• Communicate with plants on long-term project performance and issue resolution.
• Lead in-house training on molding maintenance with vendors; include safety and process control.
• Identify training gaps and close them with hands-on experience.
• Act as technical liaison between Operations Engineering and Customer for system requirements.
• Consider new procedures; analyze alternate actions.
• Flexible schedule with 50%-75% travel可能.
