Job summary

Amcor seeks a Process Engineer to manage all aspects of injection stretch blow mold sampling and qualification for new and updated products. You will coordinate with plant technical roles to support startups, validate processes, and assist in improvements to tooling and process performance.

You will document best practices and lead DOE studies while partnering with process technicians and quality engineers to resolve issues and implement enhancements across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate.
• Experience managing multiple resources and supervising plant personnel.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings and qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits within designed cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for defined injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design change recommendations.
• Provide Manufacturing Support to resolve production issues related to machine, process, tooling/design.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications/validations.
• Establish data resources related to packaging, machinery and processes.
• Lead DOE and process capability studies to ensure standards compliance.
• Develop Master Process of Adjustments for baseline settings.
