Job summary

The role emphasizes process optimization, DOE studies, and documenting best practices across operations, with travel 50%–75% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence customers.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 5 years' processing experience in the plastics packaging industry.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mold samplings & qualification services on tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet design specs and cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection/blow molding.
• Attend project meetings and tool specification reviews.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues.
• Support plants with equipment, capability studies & tooling qualifications.
• Establish data resources for packaging, machinery and processes.
• Design of Experiments and process capability studies for standards.
• Lead and train plant personnel in technical areas.
