Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee injection stretch blow molding sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt tools. You will work with plant technical teams to support startups, protocol validation, and drive process optimization to meet dimensional and cycle-time targets.

The role requires a strong engineering background, five years of plastics processing experience, and the ability to travel 50% to 75% to support multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years’ processing experience in the plastics packaging industry.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings and qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet design cycle times and validation.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas and tool design changes as directed.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling/design.
