Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Lead Mechanical Building Engineer for Industrial Water to lead technical and multi-discipline efforts on complex projects. The role emphasizes engineering leadership, design guidance, and delivery of robust solutions across industrial water facilities.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record for BV projects.
Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).

Responsibilities

Proactively provides guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes; may own or develop standards.
Applies BV quality program knowledge and promotes a quality-centric culture.
Prepares complex engineering deliverables and analyses for multiple or mega projects.
Manages budgets, schedules, and quality; develops advanced engineering solutions.
Coordinates with internal/external teams on complex projects; defines project schedules for single or multiple disciplines.
Identifies client interests and drivers and informs project approaches accordingly.
Supports business development or pursuit activities.
Mentors lower/mid-level staff and oversees performance management.
