Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Industrial Water Mechanical Building Lead Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from medium to mega scale, serving as a technical reference across disciplines.

You will develop engineering deliverables, supervise staff, coordinate with clients, and apply advanced engineering concepts while upholding BV quality standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records).
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guides department design guides, standards, and codes; may own or develop engineering standards.
• Ensures quality program compliance and supports change and risk management efforts.
• Prepares complex engineering deliverables for multiple projects and oversees data management.
• Oversees project teams, plans workload, and coordinates multiple disciplines and tasks.
