Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI methods across operations, delivering higher performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.

You will leverage analytics, Lean tools, and engineering practices to identify root causes and implement sustained improvements. The role interfaces with employees at all levels, potentially supervising CI resources, and reports to the CI Manager/Sr.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with required years of experience in Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing.
• 7+ years related experience in Warehousing, Transportation and/or Manufacturing.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite; Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) preferred.
• Leadership standards: Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S.
• Core engineering/data analysis: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics, etc.
• Experience with CAD/AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, WMS (e.g. Manhattan Scale), and labor mgmt systems preferred.
• Knowledge of dedicated services and managed transportation networks; JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM familiarity.
• Lean Six Sigma required; certifications (cPMP, ISO/QMS, APICS) preferred.

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads high-impact CI projects; supports start-ups, retrofits, and expansions; interfaces with customers.
• Coaches and mentors team on Lean, CI, QA and Lean principles; drives cross-functional improvements.
• Facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events; sustains results over time.
• Provides regular data-driven progress reports and inventory/supply chain recommendations.
• May supervise CI engineering and QA professionals; participates in hiring and coaching.
