Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

You will interface with employees across functions and may supervise CI resources, reporting to the CI Manager and aligning with operations leadership. The role requires extensive use of Lean, QC, and data analytics tools; travel up to 10–15% is expected to support project start-ups, retrofits, and expansions across the Ryder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as listed; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing with CI exposure.
• Expertise in PowerBI/Tableau for data visualization and SQL-based data queries.
• Proficiency with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects across operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Apply data analytics and Lean methods to drive root-cause analysis and sustainment.
• Coach teams on CI, QA, and Lean principles; facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Coordinate with account management and customers; manage CI resources and reporting.
