Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Lead Designer to supervise and direct a team of designers in electrical and instrumentation projects. You will ensure timely delivery within budget and quality expectations, while acting as a technical specialist on complex designs and coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical/instrumentation design, familiarity with NEC, and ability to produce detailed equipment specifications for 480VAC and

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
Familiarity with the NEC.
Ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power.
Ability to perform voltage drop calculations and conduit routing.
Ability to develop equipment specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV gear.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of designers to deliver electrical/instrumentation deliverables on time.
Provide technical guidance and mentor drafting personnel.
Coordinate work with staff and discipline lead to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
Produce 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specifications with review and approval.
Assist with on-site startup activities and client interactions.
