Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Retrofit Project Manager - HVAC to lead planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial retrofit projects nationwide. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, coordinating with customers, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive PM experience in commercial HVAC or retrofit projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent HVAC knowledge considered.
• PMP or other PM certification a plus; OSHA 30-hour certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle HVAC retrofit, replacement, and service upgrade projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resources, and cost forecasts.
• Manage project financials: costs, variances, change orders, profitability.
• Coordinate with customers, GC, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, review submittals, ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and close-out packages.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Provide clear communication on status, risks, and resolutions.
• Mentor field teams and contribute to retrofit process improvements.
