Job summary

Modigent is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high safety and quality.

Work closely with operations leadership to manage risks, budgets, and profitability while mentoring teams and advancing sustainable mechanical systems nationwide across our operating companies.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from planning to closeout for HVAC/mechanical projects.
• Review bid documents, drawings, and scopes to identify issues and propose value engineering.
• Coordinate with preconstruction, estimating, and operations to meet milestones and budgets.
• Track budgets, costs, labor, variances, and forecasts; implement corrective actions.
• Promote open communication among project teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subs.
• Organize coordination meetings, site walks, and progress reviews; document scope changes and decisions.
• Ensure adherence to contract documents, safety requirements, quality expectations, and ethics.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors for repeat business.
• Lead and develop project team members; participate in hiring and promotions as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols; ensure PPE usage and site inspections; safety is non-negotiable.
• Provide leadership vision for project planning, sequencing, and continuous improvement.
