Job summary

Modigent is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - HVAC to drive the successful execution of commercial HVAC and integrated mechanical projects by coordinating with the Project Manager on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

You will monitor progress through site visits, manage documentation, and coordinate with field teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely procurement, installation, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination/assistant PM roles within HVAC or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, PM, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• OSHA 10/30 encouraged; driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Office-based work with frequent site visits; ability to travel regionally and work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing HVAC projects (heating, cooling, ventilation, ductwork, piping).
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Track project costs, monitor budgets, and assist with change orders and value engineering.
• Coordinate with field teams, vendors, and clients to ensure procurement, submittals, fabrication, and installation.
• Attend progress meetings and report status, risks, and safety compliance.
