Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Retrofit Project Manager - HVAC to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial retrofit, replacement, and upgrade projects nationwide. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with customers, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive safe, on-time, and profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive project management experience in HVAC retrofit or service projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; applicable experience accepted.
• Valid driver’s license; OSHA 30 preferred; PMP or other PM certification a plus.
• Experience with safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle management of HVAC retrofit, replacement, and service upgrade projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, budgets, resource plans, and cost forecasts.
• Manage project financials, variances, processing change orders, and maximizing profitability.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to align on scope and deliverables.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, review submittals, and ensure timely delivery to support project schedules.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety; proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, submittals, as-builts, and close-out packages.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
• Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and updates on project status, risks, and resolutions.
• Mentor and support field teams, helping to resolve technical or logistical challenges during retrofit execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of retrofit processes, estimating accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
