Job summary

Modigent is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC projects from preconstruction through closeout in the Tampa area. You will coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to deliver on time, on budget results while upholding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction or related building services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience with strong HVAC knowledge considered.
• Certifications: PMP, LEED, OSHA 30-hour, or relevant trade certifications a plus; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle: planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, change orders, and closeout for HVAC/mechanical projects.
• Review bid documents, drawings, and scopes early to identify issues, opportunities, risks, omissions, and value engineering possibilities; develop workable solutions.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, and operations teams to create schedules, budgets, and project plans that meet milestones and financial targets.
• Track project budgets, costs, labor productivity, variances, and forecasts; implement corrective actions to protect profitability.
• Promote open communication among project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure alignment.
