WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services based in Missouri, Indiana, or Kansas. You will lead field operations, perform HV protection & control testing, and mentor technicians while coordinating with engineers and clients to ensure safety and quality.

The role requires extensive hands-on testing experience, ability to travel up to 80%, and strong problem-solving skills to deliver complex substation projects for utility and industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 11 years in electrical testing, including HV equipment and substations.
• Experience with protective relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE families) and schemes.
• Advanced relay testing/calibration using test sets and devices.
• Knowledge of testing standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA) and field safety.

Responsabilités

• Lead field operations for complex projects with technical guidance and oversight.
• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems from 15 kV to 500 kV.
• Mentor technicians, manage site logistics, and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients; document progress and risks.
• Lead readiness planning, tool inspections, and weather contingency measures.
• Act as senior field representative during regulatory inspections and client walkthroughs.
