Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization Senior P&C Field Services Technician for locations in WA, ID, NV, AZ and UT. You will perform high voltage protective relay testing, on-site commissioning, and field data documentation with Omicron/Doble test sets, following safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 9+ years in electrical testing, strong relay knowledge, and ability to lead field activities while coordinating with project teams and subcontractors. Travel up to 80% is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years in electrical testing, including HV components.
• Expertise with transmission/generation/ distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Relay calibration and testing with Omicron CMC 256/356 and Doble F6150.
• Experience with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems in substations.
• Lead on-site field activities and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Provide technical direction to junior staff and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain calibration logs and equipment inventories.
