Job summary
Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Lead Physical Design Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in Houston. You will lead substation layouts, grounding, and equipment plans for 12 kV through 765 kV projects, interfacing with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 12+ years of experience in power delivery engineering with substantial substation physical design experience.
- Proven experience leading medium- and high-voltage substation projects and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to interact directly with clients and lead technical discussions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of physical designs for new and existing substations ranging from MV through EHV.
- Direct preparation of substation layouts, equipment plans, elevations, sections, grounding plans, and construction packages.
- Coordinate with protection, civil, structural, geotechnical, transmission, and telecom disciplines.
- Provide technical direction and quality reviews for engineering deliverables.
