Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Lead Physical Design Engineer to guide the Power Delivery team in designing substations from 12 kV through 765 kV. You will oversee multi-disciplinary design, interface with clients, and ensure successful project delivery from concept through construction support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 12+ years of experience in power delivery engineering with substantial substation physical design experience.
• Proven experience leading medium- and high-voltage substation projects; strong utility and industrial design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for utility, renewable energy, industrial, transportation, and data center clients.
• Engage in client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops; respond to questions during all project phases.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships; identify opportunities for additional services.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, resource planning, and project execution strategies.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments are met.
• Lead development of physical designs for substations from medium voltage to extra high voltage and prepare layouts, plans, and construction packages.
