Republic Services is seeking an experienced Landfill Lead Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery at a landfill, including transfer, spreading, covering, loading, and compacting waste. The role also coordinates Equipment Operator activities and oversees training.

You will perform inspections, monitor equipment and waste quality, complete condition reports, and collaborate with maintenance and supervision to meet production goals while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, equipment or trade school certificate or training.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and document results.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste in materials and maintain equipment readiness.
• Perform minor service on equipment and refer major issues for repair.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report needed repairs to supervisor.
• Coordinate activities of Equipment Operators and train new employees.
