Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. The role supports transferring, spreading, covering, loading and compacting waste or soil in a disciplined, safe manner.

The ideal candidate will have two years of heavy equipment experience and at least one year at OSHA-regulated sites, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Excellent customer service and a safety‑minded approach.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of equipment to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and rear view camera are clean.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment following safety standards.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and keep equipment in an operational ready state.
• Perform minor servicing and document Equipment Condition Reports; escalate repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, serviced shop after each shift and complete required reports.
