Job summary

PAPE’ KENWORTH – DURHAM, CA is hiring an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will lead by example, uphold top safety and quality standards, and mentor other technicians in a well-equipped shop.

You will work daily to maximize uptime, analyze complex malfunctions, and execute engine, transmission, and electrical repairs with precision and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair and electrical systems.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks with precision.
• Lead by example while upholding safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Mentor and serve as a technical resource for other technicians in the shop.
• Maximize uptime and get trucks back on the road quickly, safely, and correctly the first time.
