Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck dealer in the West, seeks an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the swing shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain class 7 & 8 trucks. You will lead by example, uphold safety standards, and mentor other technicians in a fast-paced shop.

You will analyze complex faults, determine repair strategies, and perform rebuilds on major systems with a focus on uptime and customer satisfaction. Excellent team collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on medium/heavy class 7/8 trucks including engines, electronics, HVAC, and chassis.
• Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Lead by example with a focus on safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other technicians in the shop.
• Analyze mechanical and electronic malfunctions and determine repair strategies.
• Perform repairs or rebuilds on engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical, and air systems.
