Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Marysville, WA is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the swing shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will lead by example, ensuring safety, quality, and professionalism in every task.

You will mentor technicians, analyze complex issues, and implement efficient repair strategies to maximize uptime and satisfy customers, with a strong emphasis on training and growth within a premier West Coast dealer network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engines/electrical systems.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivated and assertive.
• Ability to work under little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Lead by example with safety, quality, and professionalism in every task.
• Analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions and determine repair strategies.
• Execute repairs or rebuilds on engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, and air systems.
• Mentor and provide technical support to other technicians in the shop.
• Maximize uptime and get trucks back on the road quickly and safely.
