Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) in North America seeks an experienced Field Technician III to lead crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. You will provide technical leadership, enforce safety, and support engineers during commissioning and critical field operations.

This role requires strong inspection and diagnostic skills, travel readiness, and the ability to interpret test results, document findings, and mentor junior technicians while

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check required.
• Overtime and travel out of town may be required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce PPE usage.
• Oversee testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on breakers, transformers, switchgear, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/control issues using schematics and diagrams.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers and project managers.
• Mentor and train junior technicians on procedures and best practices.
