Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews and perform advanced testing and maintenance on substation equipment across North America. This role emphasizes safety, technical leadership, and strong troubleshooting skills in complex power systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the industry, a NETA III certification, and the ability to travel as needed for field operations. EPS offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Background check will be completed before employment start.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce PPE usage.
• Perform field testing, inspection, and maintenance of LV/MV/HV equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues from schematics and diagrams.
• Direct repair, replacement and maintenance activities to restore equipment functionality.
• Support installation and commissioning activities and lead functional testing.
• Review field documentation and track discrepancies accurately.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers and project managers.
• Mentor junior technicians and reinforce best practices.
