Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and site inspections. You will conduct on-site testing, collect samples, and ensure compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training is a plus.
• 0-3 years field-based outdoor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to OSHA safety standards and PPE.
• Basic computer proficiency including MS Office and field data collection tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results with accuracy and timely submission.
• Maintain testing equipment and adhere to company and manufacturer guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers with real-time updates.
• Adhere to project timelines and schedules; adapt to changing conditions and weather.
