Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is hiring a Superintendent 1 for Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) to plan, manage and execute assigned projects across our national portfolio. The role emphasizes safety culture, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while aligning with JE Dunn’s values and project goals.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in construction, 1 year field supervision, and a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and injury-free environment through actions and mentoring.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade/ progress meetings.
• Creates and manages project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using cost reports.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design team and authorities.
• Maintains project filing, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks.
• Supports procurement and vendor processes.
• Recruits top talent and promotes diversity and inclusion.
