Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is seeking a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute assigned projects in Washington, DC. You’ll oversee material, equipment, safety and progress to meet goals. The role requires strong leadership, coordination of subs, and effective communication with owners and design teams.

You will develop work plans, manage schedules, monitor costs, and support project closeouts while upholding JE Dunn’s standards and pursuit methodologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and QA/QC.
• Develops work plans and coordinates site care.
• Leads meetings and maintains project schedule.
• Manages project cost reports and budgeting.
