Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle diagnostics and field support. Based mainly at a service center, you may travel to remote locations or production plants to provide advanced assistance while mentoring junior technicians.

You will tackle high-voltage and low-voltage diagnostics, use specialized tools, and drive improvements in repair processes. A strong leadership mindset and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school or vocational program preferred.
Minimum age of 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Willingness to travel to regional locations and production plants.
Proficiency in Windows/Mac and repair documentation systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics and complex repairs in service centers and field settings.
Provide high-level diagnostic guidance to field teams and perform remote diagnostics when possible.
Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians and cross-functional partners.
Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve electrical, HV, and network faults.
Drive continuous improvement and standardize repair processes.
Oversee parts operations, inventory, and documentation, including billing.
