Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead advanced diagnostics and complex vehicle repairs in a fast-paced environment. Based mainly at a service center, you may travel to remote locations, production plants, or customer sites to provide expert field support.

Strong leadership, mentoring, and diagnostic skills are essential. The role emphasizes high-voltage systems, CAN/LIN networking, and cross-functional collaboration with service teams and engineering.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience.
• 3–8+ years high voltage (HV) system work.
• Leadership or supervisory experience (e.g., Shop Foreman, Team Lead) preferred.
• Background in continuous improvement and process standardization.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations and inspections in service centers and field settings.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote troubleshooting for field teams.
• Coach, mentor and train junior technicians and internal partners.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools (PICO-Scope, PCAN, Kavaser Memorator, breakout boxes) to resolve complex faults.
• Drive high standards in repair workflows via road tests and process improvements.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce high-quality service documentation and provide root-cause feedback to engineering.
