Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the Atlanta area to provide remote and on-site technical support for industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain equipment under the guidance of the Senior Technical Manager, with about 50% travel.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of electronics or industrial equipment experience, reads electrical and mechanical schematics, and communicates well with customers.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in electronics or industrial equipment.
• Experience with automation or CNC machine support is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide field technical service and troubleshooting for industrial equipment, including installation, maintenance, repair, and software support.
• Coordinate with customers and equipment manufacturers to define specifications, resolve technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and execute test programs, create technical procedures, and deliver operation and software training to customers and internal staff.
• Support sales activities through technical consultations, machinery demonstrations, trade shows, and participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Maintain accurate service records and submit internal and manufacturer reports as required.
• Escalate technical issues appropriately and communicate field updates to the Engineering Manager in a timely manner.
• Provide feedback to manufacturers to support continuous product and quality improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm

FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire

• Good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% domestically and internationally
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related.
• Prior field service or customer support experience a plus.
• Spanish Bilingual is a plus.
