Job summary

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Lead Field Service Electronics Technician to join our team in the greater Pittsburgh area. This is a remote position based from a home office with daily travel to customer sites; a company vehicle is provided to support field assignments.

You will deliver on-site support, emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance to keep UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution equipment operating reliably.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of power systems, battery technologies and/or electronics experience including relevant coursework and internship experience.
• This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must undergo and pass customer entrance requirements as needed, which may include, but is not limited to, periodic background checks and drug screenings.
• Daily travel to customer sites is required, utilizing an Eaton-provided fleet vehicle.
• Provide support for customer needs outside the immediate region within the USA for a minimum of three (3) weeks per quarter.
• Must perform physical tasks as needed, including assisted lifting/carrying 50+ lbs., pushing/pulling, standing for extended periods, climbing, squatting, bending, kneeling, and driving long distances.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support, including emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain peak performance and reliability of UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution equipment.
• Travel to customer sites and document service activities; coordinate with on-site leads and field technicians.
