Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team, ensuring a safe, well-maintained store environment across multiple Nordstrom locations in a business node.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, HVAC systems, and building controls, while mentoring technicians and coordinating with vendors and the Facilities Manager. You will document activities, manage parts and orders, and support safety procedures, with flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; Associates preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years experience in predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• 5+ years experience in HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input/output functions.
• Low voltage signal tracing and troubleshooting of logical devices.
• Able to work without supervision and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication across organizational levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CMMS and Coupa experience.
• Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs+.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS alarms.
• Mentor technicians and assist with training of new employees.
• Document maintenance activities and update CMMS.
• Coordinate with vendors, store leadership, and FM for upkeep and projects.
