Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in San Diego seeks a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team ensuring a safe, well-maintained store environment and to support the Facilities Manager. You’ll oversee HVAC, vertical transportation, restaurants, building systems, and vendor relations.

This role emphasizes on-demand and preventive maintenance, mentoring junior technicians, and documentation in the CMMS, with a pay range of $23.75 to $41.25 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associates or higher preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on facilities experience, mechanical maintenance focus.
• 5+ years of predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output and low-voltage signals.
• Ability to work without supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication with all levels; written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CMMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform on-demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; manage alarms.
• Mentor other technicians and delegate work orders.
• Assist with vendor management, parts ordering, and meetings.
• Maintain a safe work environment following safety procedures and LOTO/PPE.
