Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a facilities team and oversee preventative maintenance across multiple Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, building systems, and electrical/mechanical issues while mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with vendors. The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates or higher preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years predictive and preventive maintenance experience.
• 5+ years HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills.
• Proficient in troubleshooting basic I/O and low-voltage signals.
• Ability to work without supervision and meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems (EMCS).
• Lead equipment rounds and document issues; mentor technicians.
• Assist with admin tasks: parts orders, vendor meetings, and PMs.
• Maintain safe work environment following LOTO, PPE, and safety rules.
• Attend store and vendor meetings; document outcomes and share notes.
• Update CMMS and maintain accurate equipment history and parts inventory.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and property managers.
