Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a team in delivering safe, well-maintained stores in California. You’ll support the Facility Manager, supervise preventive maintenance, and mentor junior techs across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associates degree is preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years in predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
• 5+ years' experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Able to troubleshoot basic I/O and low voltage signaling; strong communication skills.
• Ability to work without supervision and meet multiple deadlines.
• Experience with CMMS and ordering systems (Coupa) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems for store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; respond to alarms.
• Document maintenance activities and mentor other technicians.
• Assist with vendor management, parts ordering, and meetings.
• Maintain safety through proper PPE, LOTO, and working at heights.
