Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to lead a facilities team and ensure a safe, well‑maintained store environment across Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and mentor junior technicians while coordinating with vendors and the FM.

You will support daily operations, document work, manage parts and attend relevant meetings to drive reliable store readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (Associates or higher preferred).
• 5-7 years hands‑on facilities experience with emphasis in mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 5+ years HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for facilities repairs.
• Able to troubleshoot basic input/output functions; low voltage signal tracing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform on demand and planned preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Store Operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems; respond to alarms and incidents.
• Mentor other technicians and assist with admin tasks (parts ordering, vendor meetings).
• Ensure safe work environment following LOTO, PPE, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, CMMS updates, and reporting of malfunctions.
