Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager to lead on-site maintenance operations, oversee make-ready processes and ensure safety and code compliance. You’ll manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing tasks and coordinate with residents, with weekend on-call rotation and a focus on preventative maintenance.

You bring 5+ years in trades or facilities, strong leadership, relevant HVAC/EPA/NAPE certification, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trades, facilities or residential maintenance.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification is required.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, split systems, boilers or chillers is desired.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
• Availability for emergency situations and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto’s standards and culture.
• Respond to resident service tickets with timely follow-up.
• Address maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Manage make-ready and apartment turnover to support leasing.
• Run preventative maintenance programs to preserve building value.
• Maintain building safety, cleanliness, snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Ensure peak efficiency of all property components.
• Adhere to building codes and participate in on-call rotation.
