Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking an experienced facilities leader on the Newark, NJ property. The role focuses on supervising maintenance teams, managing on‑site operations, and ensuring timely completion of service tickets across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems.

You will oversee make‑ready processes, preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and emergency coverage while building strong vendor relationships and maintaining high resident satisfaction. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Education in the trades with 7+ years of experience in facilities/residential building maintenance.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience and a track record of hiring and developing teams.
• HVAC, EPA and/or NAPE certification required.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Advanced level of skill in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and model Bozzuto's core values and culture.
• Hire, develop, and provide on‑the‑job and classroom education to techs and community care associates.
• Address resident needs with timely follow‑ups and complete service tickets.
• Resolve HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance issues.
• Manage make‑ready and turnover procedures to ensure timely leasing.
• Implement preventative maintenance to preserve building value.
• Maintain building aesthetics, safety, cleanliness, and grounds.
• Support 24/7 emergency coverage and on‑call rotations.
• Establish vendor relationships and manage projects within budget.
