Job summary

Major Food Group in South Florida is seeking an Assistant Events Manager to drive large-format event sales and oversee planning with high-profile clients. You will liaise with clients from inquiry to contract, coordinate menus, floor plans, and run of show, and ensure flawless on-site execution.

You will build and maintain the social events market, develop pricing estimates, generate contracts, and work with chefs and managers to deliver memorable catering experiences while supporting the team

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of event sales, event coordination, or related hospitality experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, InDesign, Illustrator; Tripleseat experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate large business leads and respond to inquiries for large format dinners and events.
• Maintain and develop the social events market and large-scale events.
• Negotiate pricing, generate contracts, and secure payment details with clients.
• Prepare and update BEOs and catering details; manage on-site event execution.
• Collaborate with chefs and managers to communicate catering details.
