Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of catering or event sales experience, preferably within a luxury hotel, resort, private club, or similar setting.
• Proven ability to develop new business, close sales, and nurture client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of event planning, food & beverage service, contracts, and banquet operations.

Responsibilities

• Generate catering and event revenue through proactive prospecting, referrals, and strong relationships with planners, businesses, and the local community.
• Manage the sales process from inquiry and site visit to proposals, negotiations, contracts, and deposits.
• Create tailored proposals reflecting clients’ visions while meeting revenue goals and pricing guidelines.
• Develop business for social celebrations, corporate events, weddings, and private dining experiences.
• Prepare accurate event details and banquet event orders with menus, timelines, setup, and special requests.
• Coordinate handoffs and planning meetings with operations to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain accurate records in THYNK/Salesforce and track opportunities and forecasts.
• Monitor the sales pipeline, follow up promptly, and pursue revenue/conversion goals.
• Build lasting client relationships through attentive communication and post-event follow-up.
