Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is expanding its civil construction team and seeks a Lead Estimator to prepare detailed self-perform estimates based on plans, specs and scopes of work. The role emphasizes collaboration across field and office teams, accurate quantity takeoffs, and risk assessment to support timely bid submissions.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, heavy civil self-perform experience, and familiarity with Bid2Win and HCSS Heavy

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management or civil engineering, is required.
• Must have field experience in self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes of work.
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• If applicable, obtain the appropriate clearance levels and access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoff information for detailed material lists and cost assessment.
• Identify and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project teams from field to office during estimate preparation.
• Meet interim estimate milestones for constructability and productivity reviews.
• Obtain and vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure comprehensive scope coverage.
• Interact with Operations to support post-award needs and site conditions.
