SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our civil construction practice. This remote role requires a seasoned estimator with self-perform contracting experience, strong takeoff skills, and proficiency in Bid2Win and HCSS Heavy Bid.

Travel may be required; EST/CST availability is expected. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy civil estimating, a construction management or civil engineering background, and the ability to read and interpret complex project documents.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required or preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience self-perform contracting of civil infrastructure scopes of work.
• Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with spreadsheets and CPM scheduling; familiarity with estimating software.

Aufgaben

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crews and production rates according to project size and scope.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and a detailed materials list to assess total costs.
• Identify and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value partnerships.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for operations.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with in-house team across field and office for estimates.
• Meet interim milestones for constructability and productivity reviews to meet deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews and propose alternate approaches as needed.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to cover full scope.
• Engage with Operations post-award for alternates and site condition impacts.
